It all started in 1990 with the idea of offering a fun, local place where friends and family could get together to enjoy great food and great times.
Turtle’s is a family-owned and operated sports bar serving the Minnesota River Valley since 1990.
Our deep love for auto racing is expressed in the racing art that adorns almost every wall at Turtle’s, giving it a little different feel than your regular run-of-the-mill sports bars. Not only do we follow NASCAR religiously, I also have developed a passion for driving racecars at our local ¼ mile asphalt track called Raceway Park, here in Shakopee.
Along with my wife Lisa, my sister-in-law Melody, and my right hand man in the kitchen, Ron, I and the rest of our great staff take pride in competing against the big nationwide corporate operations in a way that only a close knit independent can do. We are proud of the fact that Turtle’s truly is a neighborhood bar & grill with many friends and regulars completing the friendly feel of our establishment.
Just as my father and I worked side by side as we opened and developed the restaurant, Lisa and I hope to one-day pass on our knowledge and work ethic to our three children... not to mention some of the workload!
